SERVICE + COVERAGE
I offer wedding photography coverage for everything from short and intimate celebrations to full multiple wedding days. All of my wedding packages include a mix of digital and analogue photography on 35mm and medium format film, naturally woven throughout your final gallery.
Absolutely. I offer shorter coverage for registry weddings, elopements and intimate celebrations. Send me your plans and I’ll recommend the coverage that makes the most sense for your day.
Film photography is analogue photography captured on physical film rather than digitally. I shoot both 35mm and medium format throughout the day, using cameras from the '80s and '90s to bring those beautifully nostalgic colours, textures and little unexpected moments that make film so special.
I don’t offer traditional full-day wedding videography, but I do offer little pieces of motion through camcorder, VHS and Super 8, a natural extension of my love for analogue.Camcorder and VHS are captured as short 30-second to 1-minute clips throughout the day, while Super 8 is shot entirely on analogue film and edited into a nostalgic film of up to 5 minutes by trusted members of my team.
PRICING + AVAIBILITY
Yay! Send me an enquiry with your date, location and a little about what you’re planning. If I’m available, I’ll send through everything you need to make it official. Once your agreement is signed and booking fee is received, your date is yours.
Most couples invest around $4000 for full-day coverage, depending on their plans and additions like Super 8 or a second photographer. Intimate celebrations may require less coverage, while international weddings typically start from $8,000 AUD. Most couples book around 9–18 months ahead, especially for peak wedding season. That said, it’s always worth checking, I sometimes have last-minute dates available.
Absolutely. Packages are a starting point, not a one-size-fits-all rule. If your plans sit somewhere in between, or you have something a little different in mind, I’m always happy to tailor the coverage.
Always happy to! I’m based in Melbourne and photograph weddings across Australia and internationally. I have set travel options for interstate weddings and special conditions for celebrations in Europe, tell me where you’re going and we’ll work it out from there.
A signed agreement and 20% non-refundable booking fee will officially secure your date. For weddings booked less than six months away, a 50% booking fee is required.
STYLE + APPROACH
BALUYZA is led by me, Barbara, but I’m lucky to have a small team of people I trust and love working with. Depending on your coverage, that might include a second photographer or someone dedicated to Super 8. You’ll always know exactly who will be there with you.
I’d always recommend a second photographer for the extra perspectives and moments we can capture throughout the day. An extra set of hands also helps everything run a little smoother, from organising first looks to keeping things moving. For weddings with 100+ guests or separate getting-ready locations, I consider it a must.
Documentary at heart, with an editorial eye. I’m drawn to real moments, beautiful light, movement and all the little things happening in between. I want your photographs to feel considered and beautiful without losing what the day actually felt like.
Fashion, culture and cinema are a huge part of my creative world, inspiring the way I play with light, colour and unexpected perspectives. And maybe it’s the Brazilian in me, but I’m drawn to passion, presence and photographs you can feel, always with a little something outside the box, while keeping the emotion timeless.
Calmly and observantly, for the most part. I want you to actually experience your wedding rather than feel like you’re spending the day at a photoshoot. I’ll let things unfold naturally and step in with gentle direction when it makes sense.
EDITING + DELIVERY
I usually deliver around 50 edited digital photographs per hour of coverage, plus all your analogue images. I shoot roughly 70% digital and 30% film throughout the day, and extra rolls can always be added if you’d like even more analogue goodness in your gallery.
You won't have to wait too long! A selection of sneak peeks will land in your inbox within 48 hours, with your complete gallery delivered within 3–4 weeks.
Once you book, you’ll have access to your own client portal, where all of our communication and wedding details live in one place. Your final photos will also be delivered through a private online gallery, ready to download in both high-resolution and web-size.
Every photograph that makes it into your gallery is individually selected and edited in my signature style.
Please do! Your high-resolution files are yours to print for personal use, and I’m always happy to help with print sizes, paper choices and recommendations to make sure your photographs look their best in print.
